Summary
Hibiscus sells credits, not subscriptions. Because credits are digital goods that unlock immediately once payment is confirmed, most sales are final. This page explains the narrow cases where we do provide a refund and how to request one.
EU / UK 14-day cooling-off period
If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of the order date without giving any reason.
By starting to use your credits before the 14 days elapse, you expressly waive the right of withdrawal for the credits you have already consumed. Unused credits remain refundable within the 14-day window.
When we issue a refund
- The 14-day withdrawal right above applies and credits have not been used.
- You were charged in error (duplicate charge, wrong amount).
- A service outage attributable to Hibiscus prevented you from using purchased credits for more than 48 consecutive hours.
- Your local consumer law requires a refund we would not otherwise offer.
When we don't refund
- Credits that have already been consumed.
- Change of mind after credits have been partially used, outside the 14-day window.
- Failure to use credits within a self-imposed deadline (credits do not expire).
- Account termination for violations of our Acceptable Use Policy.
How to request a refund
Email [email protected] from the address on your account with the following details:
- Order date and order ID (from the confirmation email).
- Amount and currency you were charged.
- Reason for the refund request.
We will confirm receipt within two business days and issue eligible refunds within 14 days to the original payment method.
Bank transfer specifics
For bank transfer orders that were placed but never funded, no charge occurs — you can simply ignore the order and it will be cancelled automatically after 14 days. If you sent funds and then decided to cancel within the cooling-off period, we will return the funds to the originating account, less any bank fees required to complete the international transfer.
Chargebacks
Please contact us before filing a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. We can almost always resolve billing issues faster than the chargeback process. Fraudulent chargebacks may result in account suspension.
